1st Annual Hood Awardee Recognition Event

On Monday, June 10th, the Trustees of the Charles H. Hood Foundation hosted the 1st Annual Hood Awardee Recognition Event.  Having supported pediatric research in New England for over 77 years, the Hood Foundation is exploring new ways to engage with their growing community of stakeholders and leverage resources to meaningfully impact the field of child health.  Guests at last week’s inaugural event included the most recent recipients of funding from the Foundation’s Child Health, Major Grants and Program-Related Investments programs, as well Scientific Review Committee members – many of whom were also former Hood awardees.  In addition to free networking time with one another and the full Board of Trustees, attendees viewed a presentation by renowned geneticist and Major Grant recipient Dr. Frederick Alt and also enjoyed participating in structured “speed networking” activities to maximize on the opportunity to meet colleagues working in child health.
