Hood Foundation Announces Participation in Children’s Health Innovation Challenge

The Charles H. Hood Foundation is pleased to announce it is partnering with the Catalytic Impact Foundation (CIF) in the upcoming Children’s Health Innovation Challenge, a national initiative designed to identify and support early-stage companies developing innovative solutions to improve pediatric health outcomes.

As part of this effort, the Foundation will offer the Hood Pediatric Acceleration Award, a $100,000 investment through its CH Innovations division. This award reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to advancing high-impact pediatric health innovations and accelerating their path from concept to real-world application.

CH Innovations, a division of the Charles H. Hood Foundation established in 2015, extends the Foundation’s mission by investing in early-stage companies working to bring transformative pediatric health solutions to market. The Hood Pediatric Acceleration Award builds on this work by supporting emerging innovators at a critical stage of growth.

Why This Matters
Breakthrough ideas in pediatric health often face a critical gap between early innovation and real-world implementation. Early-stage companies are developing promising solutions, but many lack the capital and support needed to move from concept to impact. Through this Challenge and the Hood Pediatric Acceleration Award, the Foundation is helping to bridge that gap—supporting innovators who are working to improve the health and quality of life for children.

The Challenge will be conducted in three phases, beginning with a national call for applications and followed by a competitive review process to identify a select group of finalists. Finalists will be invited to participate in a live pitch event, where award recipients will be selected.

Key Dates:
• Applications due: April 30, 2026
• Live pitch event: June 15, 2026 – New York City
