Building Promising Futures For Over 75 Years

The Charles H. Hood Foundation recently celebrated its 75th Anniversary. The event brought together past and current Hood Awardees, engaging them and other attendees in interactive panel discussions highlighting a few of the many research areas that the Foundation has funded over its long history. The event brought together an incredible group of individuals committed to children’s health initiatives and reinforced that the Hood Foundation has been and continues to be a driving force in fueling the momentum of pediatric research.

Through our Child Health Research Awards Program, we have seen these brilliant scientific minds continue to innovate new, groundbreaking research and become key figures and leaders at major hospitals, educational institutions, and health organizations. Hood’s Child Health grants have also been proven to help leverage other important sources of funding for these researchers. With the more recent addition of the Major Grants Program and Program Related Investments, we have expanded our impact. Through these initiatives we have enabled high-risk projects, which might not have received funding elsewhere, to move forward for the benefit of millions of children all over the world.

The 75th Anniversary gave us an opportunity to be thankful for our rich past and look forward to continuing to build promising futures for those whose dreams and creativity transform the lives of children everywhere.  See what our Hood Awardees have to say about The Hood Foundation.
