John O. Parker, Jr.

John Parker has been a Trustee of the Hood Foundation since 2009 and serves as the Foundation’s Vice President and Clerk. He is particularly proud of his leadership in advancing the Foundation’s program-related investment (PRI) initiative, which supports early-stage companies developing innovative solutions for children’s health. John has spent nearly 30 years in the alternative investment industry, holding senior roles across venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds. He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business. John lives in the Boston area with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
