Dr. David Martinelli is one of only five recipients of a January 2019 Child Health Research Grant. He is Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he teaches graduate, medical and dental students, and also serves as Director of the Neuroscience Department Journal Club.

In this leadership role, Dr. Martin will steward and advance the Hood Foundation’s child health research portfolio, overseeing pediatric research awards and serving as a strategic scientific partner across initiatives, including the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub.
