Dr. Sarita Patil received one of our five January 2019 Child Health Research Grants. Dr. Patil is a physician-scientist who specializes in the treatment of patients with food allergy. She serves as Principal Investigator for the Center for Immunology & Inflammatory Diseases and Assistant Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

In this leadership role, Dr. Martin will steward and advance the Hood Foundation’s child health research portfolio, overseeing pediatric research awards and serving as a strategic scientific partner across initiatives, including the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub.
