Dr. Ellen Roche was selected as the final of only five recipients of our competitive July 2019 Child Health Research Awards. Dr. Roche serves as Assistant Professor at MIT’s Mechanical Engineering Department and Institute for Medical Engineering and Science. Her research focuses on applying new innovative technologies to the development of cardiac devices for improving patient outcomes.

In this leadership role, Dr. Martin will steward and advance the Hood Foundation’s child health research portfolio, overseeing pediatric research awards and serving as a strategic scientific partner across initiatives, including the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub.
